About the Project

A nonpartisan effort to strengthen Georgia’s consumer protection laws.

Our Mission

The Georgia Accountability Project is a coordinated legislative effort targeting the 2027 Georgia General Assembly. Our goal is to present a practical, bipartisan set of consumer protection proposals — and to build the public support needed to get them enacted.

This project is organized by a coalition of Georgia consumer protection advocates, attorneys, and community members. We are nonpartisan. We accept no funding from corporations or lobbying groups.

Who is behind the Georgia Accountability Project?

The website is maintained by the law firm of Kneupper & Covey. Cyclone Covey, one of the partners, started the project.

Does the Georgia Accountability Project seek donations or financial contributions?

No. The project is not raising money. Its sole goal is to educate Georgians and build support for the proposals on the website.

Does the Georgia Accountability Project make any political donations or contributions?

No. The project simply lists politicians and political candidates that have voiced support for the Project's agenda. We are not a PAC or nonprofit entity.

What party is the Georgia Accountability Project associated with?

The Georgia Accountability Project is nonpartisan. We believe our agenda items are things that both parties can support. Our agenda is good for individuals and good for businesses that follow the law. The proposed legislative changes target people and companies that are not playing fair.
